Winners of the 2018 Youth Literary Derby Celebrated at Mohawk Park
Congratulations to the following writers:
1st Place – Maria Achilleos, London, ON for “Ears Pointed Forward”
2nd Place – Kyla Civiero, Millgrove, ON for “Dare To Dream”
3rd place – Marilyn Schmidt, Elmwood, ON for “Daisy, the Standardbred Foal
Short Story Division:
1st Place – Andrew Kuepfer, Elmwood, ON for “The Adventures of Wilfred’s First Day”
2nd Place – Avery Kirkpatrick, Bowmanville, ON for “Some Kind of Wonderful”
3rd Place – Allie Kucman, Fort Erie, ON for “Star”
The finalists were treated to a full day of horse racing-related experiences followed by presentation of the awards on October 6th at Mohawk Park.
